Take a few moments and get to know the the fifteen members of the Wissmann Family...


Loren (Dad)

Plays bass guitar and guitar. Sings tenor vocals.

The leader of the group, Loren gives direction and vision for the show, is the sound engineer, manages a family business part-time -- and is full-time husband and Dad.

 
 

Gloria (Mom)

Plays hammered dulcimer, guitar, and bass guitar. Sings alto vocals.

Always with a ready smile and helping hand, Gloria is the 'Mommy-love' that keeps the family's wheels turning smoothly.

 

Rachel (1982)

Plays fiddle and keyboard. Sings lead vocals.

Rachel is the family secretary, booking concerts, managing the marketing and taking care of office details. She also assists in writing the show, arranging the music, and writing many original songs.
 
 

Ruth (1983)

Plays mandolin, flute, and keyboard. Sings alto vocals.

With a love for practical and creative sewing, Ruth is the mastermind behind the show's costuming coordination. She is also the family chef and keeps the family happily and nutritionally fed!

 

Josiah (1985)

Plays bass guitar, guitar and trumpet. Sings bass vocals

Married to the love of his life, Abi, in Sept 2008, Josiah works full time for the family business while preparing to be a missionary pilot. *Due to family commitments, Josiah will not be appearing in the 2009 show.

 

Bethany (1986)

Plays harp and keyboard. Sings alto and lead vocals.

The artistic one of the family, Bethany oversees the show lighting, in addition to being the theater hostess and using her photography skills to provide pictures for all the family's promotional materials.

 
 

Andrew (1988)

Plays banjo, hamonica, and guitar. Sings lead.

A born leader, Andrew is the brain behind most of the creative musical arrangements in the show. Providing exceptional banjo-pickin', he also is the humorous one of the bunch, dropping candid comments throughout the show to keep the chuckles rolling.
 

Elizabeth (1989)

Plays cello and keyboard. Sings alto vocals.

Gifted with organization, Elizabeth keeps the show running smoothly behind the scenes with orderly dressing rooms and props in their places. Her sweet voice and gentle spirit is a beloved addition on the stage as well.

 

Matthias (1991)

Plays dobro, banjo, guitar, bass guitar, and fiddle. Sings tenor vocals

Matthias has yet to pick up a stringed instrument he cannot play. Easily voted 'the most versatile member of the group', he has joined the ranks as another music arranger. His comic expressions and antics add humor to the shows dynamics.
 

Stephen (1993)

Plays mandolin, harmonica & guitar. Sings bass.

With his deep voice and flying fingers, Stephen joins his brothers as the musical 'base and brains' of the family. His dry sense of humor and friendly personality are sure to bring a smile to your face.

 

Hannah (1995)

Plays keyboard and fiddle. Sings lead and harmony.

A veteran of the stage since the age of 2, Hannah capably fills the family's musical arrangements with her rich, solid vocal abilities. A ringleader of her younger sisters, she also works with the younger children backstage.

 

Susanna (1997)

Plays fiddle. Sings lead vocals.

With her quiet, gentle demeanor, Susanna's willing and capable service is a great blessing to many aspects of the show -- from keeping the props in their places to her brilliant, cheerful ease on stage.


 

Alaythia (1999)

Plays fiddle. Sings lead and alto harmonies.

Quick to smile and laugh, Alaythia will be sure to win your heart as she strikes up conversations easily, joining her sister to serve as theater hostess. Her fiddling and harmony vocals add a lively sparkle to the show.

 
 

Nathanael (2001)

Plays percussion. Sings lead.

Animated and full of life, Nathanael takes his role both on and off stage with an energetic thrust that is so typical of happy, young boys. His love for singing is evident as he sings on several numbers, including his trademark song, "Little Drummer Boy". 

 

Charissa (2006)

Sings and adds the invaluable 'cute' factor.

Having so many musicians and teachers as older siblings, its no wonder Charissa has begun to sing at an early age. Her smile and efforts to be part of the group is accented by the thrill on her face every time its 'her turn' to hold the microphone!
